Rourkes Designs and Produces New Awards |

Some people are surprised to discover that Rourkes don't just make beautiful estate gates and railings!
Over the past couple of years, Rourkes have been diversifying and manufacturing everything from sculptures to street furniture to yes...awards.
Rourkes were asked to support the Burnley Business & Innovation Awards for 2009 by supplying the trophies. Having done this for the last two award dinners, we readily agreed. Rourkes heartily support the Burnley Business & Innovation Awards, which recognises and promotes the successes and innovations of businesses in Burnley.
The twelve solid steel awards were designed, fabricated and hand painted by our skilled labour force.

Rourkes Completes Aylesbury Contract |

Rourkes have recently completed a major contract at Aylesbury to supply a total of 385 metres of stainless steel barriers.
100 meters is along a cycle path with an overall height of 1400 mm incorporating three rails and seven tension wires to comply with regulations.
The remaining 285 metres is 1200 mm high incorporating three rails and six tension wires; this system was designed to meet the requirements of Class 3 of BS 7818 and is all manufactured from 316 grade stainless steel.
The posts are bead blasted and the rails 400G polished. This scheme incorporated radiuses, raked runs with bridge abutments and foot guards.
Rourkes also manufactured stainless steel cages to protect the Bridge Mast Top Lighters.
